We are changing the way programmers write code. Kite builds software that watches as you code, and surfaces relevant information as you work.
We are an early stage startup in San Francisco. We launched last month with tremendous success: we had over 50,000 signups overnight.
Kite works today on OS X, but we'd like to build Kite for Windows.
This job will not involve building UI; all of our UI is already written in HTML, and rendered inside web views.
This job will involve:
- Basics of desktop software (auto updating, crash reporting, etc)
- Some basic (later, advanced) window management behavior
- Win32 hacking (probably DLL injection) to pull the contents of users' terminal applications
- Watching file system change notifications
- ...working with an amazing group of fellow engineers (who really know their stuff!)
We are looking for someone with deep experience in win32 and deploying Windows applications to broad and heterogenous user bases.
We realize we're looking for a very specific set of skills and attributes, so we are open to remote developers assuming you have experience working remotely in a past job.
The future of programming is awesome. Let's build it together!
